Sakamata Chloe, one of the members of hololive production‘s 6th generation, holoX, will cease her channel activities on January 26, 2025 JST. She will remain an affiliate of the popular VTuber agency.

“Sakamata Chloe, a member of the VTuber group hololive, will conclude all of her channel activities, including streaming on YouTube, social media posting, live event participation, and release of new merchandise, as of January 26th, 2025,” says the official English statement from hololive.

“Since debuting as a member of Secret Society holoX, Sakamata Chloe has been instrumental in the growth of hololive production through her numerous endeavors. Although her regular streaming and related activities will end, Sakamata Chloe will remain an affiliate of hololive production moving forward.”

The announcement came on the third anniversary of Sakamata’s debut.

The first hololive affiliate was hololive English’s Watson Amelia, who had her final stream on September 30. Sakamata is the second to choose the affiliate route over a full-blown graduation.

This announcement marks the latest in a line of surprise hololive-related departures in 2024. 1st generation member Yozora Mel was terminated early in the year, while senior staff member A-chan/Friend A left in June due to family circumstances. 2nd generation member Minato Aqua graduated in August.

Sakamata is one of the five members of holoX, which is currently the newest generation of the main hololive branch. Shortly after the release of hololive’s statement, Sakamata’s genmate Laplus Darkness posted on X (formerly Twitter), “Secret Society holoX is an organization of five.”
