Five months after the “Me in the dream” video, Kizuna Ai‘s A.I.Channel has uploaded a new video titled “Can you wake up?” This one features #kzn (or Kizuna AI Official Singeroid #kzn) telling the virtual YouTuber, “I will try hard, so Ai-chan can wake up,” and begins a countdown at its end.

At the end of the video, which premiered shortly before midnight in Japan, the countdown timer was at 87 days, 21 hours, 54 minutes, and 47 seconds. An official live countdown video can be found here.

Kizuna Ai was the first to use the term “virtual YouTuber,” nowadays abbreviated as VTuber. She began her YouTube activities in December 2016 and went on an indefinite hiatus after the hello, world 2022 concert. The hiatus was done in order to “update future activities with the goal of further developing Kizuna Ai.”

The 2023 TV anime Kizuna no Allele was inspired by Kizuna Ai.
