Gorilla no Kami kara Kagosareta Reijou wa Ouritsu Kishidan de Kawaigarareru began in 2020 as Shousetsuka ni Narou web novel by Shirohi, which inspired a KADOKAWA-published manga adaptation drawn by Mika Kamisu. The romantic comedy is set in a world where people receive the divine protection of an animal god upon turning 16. The protagonist, Sophia, is the timid daughter of a count who receives the protection of the powerful Gorilla God. While Sophia originally wished to have a peaceful school life, her rare power causes her to be scouted by the royal knights, who have promising young members among their ranks.

The manga began serialization in 2021 on KadoComi and has six tankoubon volumes as of December 5, 2024 JST.
