A second new key visual and more cast members have been unveiled for the upcoming I’m a Noble on the Brink of Ruin, So I Might as Well Try Mastering Magic TV anime adaptation, which will premiere in Japan on January 6, 2025.
The three newly added cast members include Yume Miyamoto as Reina, Miho Okasaki as Chris, and Kenta Miyake as Gai.
They join a main voice cast that stars:

- • Tomokazu Sugita as Lardon
- • Haruka Tomatsu as Asuna
- • Saori Hayami as Jodie
- • Shizuka Ito as Scarlet
- • Takehito Koyasu as Raymond
- • Rie Kugimiya as Mysterious Girl
Episodes will begin streaming one week early in Japan on the streaming services U-NEXT and Anime Hodai, starting with a two-episode premiere on January 6.
Kenichi Ishikura (Sakura Trick, Ongaku Shoujo) is directing the anime, with Tatsuya Takahashi (The Faraway Paladin: The Lord of Rust Mountains) as series screenwriter, Midori Otsuka (Kamen no Maid Guy design works co-staff) as character designer, and Alisa Okehazama (The Reincarnation of the Strongest Exorcist in Another World) as music composer. Studio Deen and Marvy Jack are handling the animation production.
The anime is based on the light novel series written by Nazuna Miki and illustrated by Kabotya. It was first published by TO Books on February 10, 2020 and has released nine volumes as of October 2024. A 10th volume is set for release on January 15, 2025.
The story was first published as a web novel on Shosetsuka ni Naro in 2019 and has also inspired a manga adaptation by Rio Akisaki in 2020. J Novel Club releases the light novels and manga in English.
Crunchyroll will stream I’m a Noble on the Brink of Ruin, So I Might as Well Try Mastering Magic worldwide, outside of Japan. It describes the main synopsis as:
