Last November, Minami Hinata was announced as the voice of protagonist Yu Ayase

Tadahito Matsubayashi (Magical Girl Site) is directing the anime adaptation, with Yusuke Inoue (animation director on Mayonaka Punch, Skip and Loafer et al.) as character designer. P.A.WORKS is in charge of the animation production.

The anime is based on the romantic comedy manga series by Aya Hirakawa, which began serialization in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine on December 22, 2021 and has released 11 tankobon volumes as of October 2024. A 12th volume is set for release on December 18, 2024.

The manga was nominated for the Next Manga Award in the print category in 2022, where it ranked 15th. It ranked eighth in the 2023 edition in the same category. The series also placed second in the Nationwide Publishers’ Recommended Comics of 2023.

Mikadono Sanshimai wa Angai, Choroi follows Yu Ayase, the son of the late Subaru Ayase, who was gifted with beauty, athleticism, and intelligence. When Yu is enrolled into a high-class school, he moves into the house of his mother’s friend and begins rooming with the three Mikadono sisters, who are all exceptionally talented, but have hidden weaknesses to them.
