Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles 2, the sequel to the 2021 3D fighting game Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles, will be released in 2025 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and Steam. CyberConnect 2 remains as the developer.
The first trailer for the game teases the full lineup of Hashira members and shows off story moments from the arcs that were recently adapted by the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba anime.
Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles 2 will come with a playable roster of over 40. Its story mode will let players experience the Entertainment District Arc, Swordsmith Village Arc, and Hashira Training Arc.
The first game was released on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and Steam in October 2021, and came to Switch in June 2022. The story mode covered the events from the Unwavering Resolve Arc to the events of Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train. Free and paid DLC characters were added to the game after launch, and some of those — namely the free demon characters and the Entertainment District Arc’s Daki and Gyutaro — have been confirmed for the sequel.
