A new teaser visual and trailer have been revealed for the upcoming Japanese broadcast of the Wuliao Jiu Wanjie donghua animated series. The superhero romantic comedy series (also known in English as Don’t Give Up!) will begin airing in Japan under the title Kono Ko de Hanaji o Tomete in April 2025 and will be part of Fuji TV’s B8station programming slot.
The Japanese dub cast for the donghua stars Megumi Han as Mocha and Natsuki Hanae as Yasen.
Wuliao Jiu Wanjie was streamed on bilibili for 24 episodes from July 5, 2024 to November 29, 2024. Shengying Animation was in charge of the animation production.
The donghua follows a normal office worker named Mocha, who leads an ordinary, uninspiring life. One day, she becomes infected by an alien parasite named Yasen, whose presence will literally make her die of boredom. Despite this, she continues to go to work as usual and Yasen is determined to do everything to save her.
Previous donghua series that aired in Japanese via B8station include the Link Click series, The Girl Downstairs, Fairies Album, and Ringing Fate.
