The Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth games and Death end re;Quest: Code Z will no longer be released on Nintendo Switch in North America and Europe.
Idea Factory International says that the move is “due to the contents of the Re;Birth series and Death end re;Quest: Code Z not complying with the Nintendo Guidelines.”
It added that Death end re;Quest: Code Z was still on track to launch on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, both physically and digitally, in 2025.
In Japan, the above Compile Heart JRPG titles were made available on Switch earlier this year. The Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth games dropped in May, while Death end re;Quest Code Z came out in September.
The first two Death end re;Quest games, as well as a number of other Hyperdimension Neptunia entries such as Megadimension Neptunia VII, Neptunia: Sisters VS Sisters, and Neptunia Game Maker R:Evolution, have been released for Switch globally.
The Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth trilogy, which remakes the first three Hyperdimension Neptunia games, was previously released overseas on PlayStation Vita and Steam. Neptunia ReVerse, an enhanced version of Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1 for PS5, had its North American and Europe release in 2021.
