Makoto Kudo‘s My Awkward Senpai (Bukiyou na Senpai.) manga is getting a TV anime adaptation, which will begin airing in 2025. A teaser trailer and teaser visual have been released.

Ayumu Kotake (Acro Trip) is directing the anime at Studio elle with Mio Inoue (Slow Start series composer and co-scriptwriter, Acro Trip co-scenario writer) as series composer and scriptwriter, and Kenro Tokuda (Acro Trip sub-character designer) as character designer. Lynn is voicing main heroine Azusa Kannawa.

My Awkward Senpai has been serialized since 2022 in Square Enix’s Young Gangan and has eight tankoubons as of August 2024. Comikey describes the premise as:

“Well… as you can see, my senpai’s a little intense – hold on, “a little”?”

Kannawa-senpai is considered many things, but smooth is definitely not one of them. Then she meets Kamegawa, her new Kouhai. He’s cute, a little nerdy, and easy to talk to. How will this awkward Senpai be able to handle these new feelings?!
