OSHI NO KO will once again be featured in an upcoming issue of the Japanese women’s fashion magazine SPUR, which will showcase Ai Hoshino on the front cover of its February 2025 issue. The new issue will go on sale in Japan on December 23, 2024.
The new front cover is an original illustration by the manga’s artist and co-creator Mengo Yokoyari. It is themed around the idea of Ai’s life after her idol career, with a focus on her mature image and fashion career. She is drawn wearing an outfit from the VALENTINO fashion brand and doing her signature peace sign pose.

The upcoming February 2025 issue will also include additional illustrations of Ai in different outfits and an in-depth interview with Yokoyari. The interview will go over Yokoyari’s thoughts on working on the manga for four years, the positive and challenging experiences of creating the series, and her mindset during the manga’s conclusion.
This is SPUR’s second collaboration with OSHI NO KO, following the August 2023 issue that featured Ruby and Aqua Hoshino on the front cover.
SPUR has previously collaborated several times with Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure creator Hirohiko Araki, starting in 2011. His characters have also been added on the magazine’s front cover in 2012 and 2013, and was featured in a special interview in SPUR’s September 2018 issue.

HIDIVE is streaming both seasons of OSHI NO KO outside of Japan, with a third season also being confirmed to be in production. It describes the main synopsis as:
When a pregnant young starlet appears in Gorou Amemiya’s countryside medical clinic, the doctor takes it upon himself to safely (and secretly) deliver Ai Hoshino’s child so she can make a scandal-free return to the stage. But no good deed goes unpunished, and on the eve of her delivery, he finds himself slain at the hands of Ai’s deluded stalker — and subsequently reborn as Ai’s child, Aquamarine Hoshino! The glitz and glamor of showbiz hide the dark underbelly of the entertainment industry, threatening to dull the shine of his favorite star. Can he help his new mother rise to the top of the charts? And what will he do when unthinkable disaster strikes?
SPUR is one of Japan’s most well-known and largest fashion magazines. It is focused on all aspects of women’s fashion and features photo essays of the trendiest looks for sportswear, career wear, leisure wear, and casual clothing. The magazine contains hundreds of photos centered on women’s clothing, including a large variety of accessories.
