The anime is based on the surreal gag comedy manga by Nimo Goto, which was first serialized on Goto’s personal website, before also being featured on pixiv and Niconico Seiga from July 26, 2020 to October 27, 2022. Kadokawa Shoten acquired the series and published three digital volumes under the Asuka Comics DX imprint as of November 2024. A fourth and fifth digital volume will be released on December 24, 2024.

Everyday Host follows the everyday life of former businessman Sekiguchi, who switches careers to become a host at “Club One” after getting sick. He joins an eccentric cast of co-workers that consists of a younger-brother type host with over 20 years of work experience, a former idol, a tough-looking host obsessed with social games, and many other strange people.
