The Momose Akira no Hatsukoi Hatanchu. romantic-comedy manga saw the release of its first tankoubon volume on December 12, JST. To celebrate the occasion, its creator Shinta Harekawa personally commissioned an animated commemoration trailer that has been uploaded to their X (formerly Twitter) account and YouTube channel.
The trailer, which depicts both the titular heroine’s cool and adorable sides with captivating close-ups, is directed and animated by Riri Yamashita (Kamitsubaki City Ensemble opening director, co-animator, et al.; “Midnight Mission” director et al.). Akira is voiced by Aya Yamane, while male protagonist Hajime Kugayama is voiced by Reiji Kawashima.
Other staff credits include tori and Yota Kakashi as assistants, Takeru Soga (“VSPO x Cardfight!! Vanguard” PV production assistant) as production assistant and storyboard artist, and Shiko (“VSPO x Cardfight!! Vanguard” PV) as animation producer. Kiko is credited for the planning and animation production.
In Momose Akira no Hatsukoi Hatanchu., Akira returns to the rural area where Hajime lives in order to get together with him. However, in spite of her cool looks and meticulous love plan, Akira is a bit of a bumbling disaster, while Hajime isn’t too sharp either, resulting in misunderstandings..
The manga started serialization in August in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday.
