Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates are setting sail with the Los Angeles Lakers with One Piece Night! The Lakers announced that One Piece Night will be on February 28th, 2025. The Straw Hat Pirates will try to prove which team truly owns LA as the Lakers take on the Clippers.
On Twitter, The Lakers announced that One Piece Night will be on Feb. 28. The announcement came with a key art of Luffy and a teaser for One Piece Night’s unique logo with the Straw Hat Pirates design over a basketball. More information and details on One Piece Night such as how to get tickets will be coming soon.
This is not the Straw Hat Pirates’ first run-in with a major U.S. sports team! The Los Angeles Rams collaborated with One Piece in December 2023, and this year the Boston Red Sox Celebrated One Piece’s 25th anniversary with a One Piece Night on Aug. 28 2024. These collaborations and the success of the live-action Netflix adaptation and One Piece: Red film shows us that One Piece in the United States is bigger than ever!
