The My Hero Academia spin-off My Hero Academia: Vigilantes is getting an anime adaptation that will begin airing in April 2025. A “super” teaser trailer and “super” teaser visual have been released.
Kenichi Suzuki (Fairy Gone, Cells At Work!, Drifters) is directing the series at BONES FILM with Yosuke Kuroda (My Hero Academia) as series composer and Takahiko Yoshida (Cells At Work!, Sorcerous Stabber Orphen [2020]) as character designer.
The My Hero Academia: Vigilantes manga is drawn by Betten Court and written by Hideyuki Furuhashi. Viz Media describes the premise as:
Koichi Haimawari couldn’t make the cut to become an official hero, so he uses his modest Quirk to do good deeds in his spare time. Then one day a fateful encounter with some local thugs leads him to team up with two other unlikely heroes. None of them really know what they’re doing, but they’ve got the courage—or foolishness—to try. But they soon discover fighting evil takes more than just being brave…
