Following a few rounds of teasing on Christmas, McDonald’s Japan has revealed in full its upcoming trio of Evangelion burgers, accompanied by a burger-filled trailer where NERV faces the yellow-and-red Evangelion Unit-M.
There are two new flavors and one returning in this lineup. The returning burger is the Cheese Double Teriyaki, which is representing Shinji Ikari’s Evangelion Unit-01.
Rei Ayanami’s Evangelion Unit-00 is represented by the Zakukiri Potato & Nikuatsu Beef, which also comes with a layer of Kokuuma Garlic Mayo. Meanwhile, Asuka Shikinami Langley’s Evangelion Unit-01 has inspired the Mexican Cheese Chicken, which comes with a warning for those who don’t do well with fiery spice.
The Evangelion burgers will be available for a limited time starting on January 6, 2025 JST. As part of the promotion, McDonald’s Japan is holding a campaign where followers reply to this post with the hashtag #マックからエヴァンゲリオンバーガー誕生 (#mckaraevangelionburgertanjou) on December 26 JST. 100 lucky winners will receive a McCard loaded with 1,000 yen.

Last week, McDonald’s Japan announced a set of transformable Value Set Evangelion figures, which will be on sale between January 20, 2025 JST to January 26, 2025 JST for lottery winners.
