The Gundam Card Game TCG is set to receive a simultaneous worldwide launch this July. The launch will include its Japanese, English, and Simplified Chinese versions.

A few other details were also revealed, including a collaboration between Gundam Card Game and the newly announced Gundam Assemble tabletop game. This collaboration will partially manifest as four special versions of the starter decks — Heroic Beginnings, Wings of Advance, Zeon’s Rush, and Seed Strike. Each will come with “3 different GUNDAM ASSEMBLE” and an MSRP of US$34.99. The release date is July 11.

It was also mentioned that the Gundam Assemble models can be used in the TCG by placing them on top of a corresponding token card, although it’s currently unclear what non-aesthetic effect this will have.

Other new announcements include:

• The regular versions of the aforementioned starter decks. The starters will feature “different two-color combinations” and an MSRP of US$11.99. Expect them on July 11.

Newtype Rising, the first booster pack for Gundam Card Game, which will have “many Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn cards that are not included in the Starter Deck.” It’ll be out on July 25 with an MSRP of US$4.99.

• Plans to “introduce a number of aircraft that were not included in the Edition Beta” that was released last December for US$69.99.

Gundam Card Game features mobile suits and pilots from across the Mobile Suit Gundam franchise. Each player wields a 50-card deck comprising Unit Cards (mobile suits), Pilot Cards, Base Cards, and Command Cards (the last two feature “battle ships and various characters”).

“Pilots can be attached to Units to increase their power, and designated pairings, called ‘Linked Unit’ can also be made and help you aim for victory,” says the official description. “Of course there are rules prepared for the standard 1 vs 1 play, but there will also be rules for other types of play like a ‘Team Battle’ (2 vs 2) and ‘Battle Royale’ (3 or more players, no teams).”
