The Cardfight!! Vanguard X (formerly Twitter) account has announced that the production of Cardfight!! Vanguard anime will go on until there are 700 episodes in total.
According to Comic Natalie, the TV anime side of the multimedia franchise currently spans 582 episodes. The earlier entries (not counting each series’ individual seasons) included 2011’s Cardfight!! Vanguard, 2014’s Cardfight!! Vanguard G, and 2018’s Cardfight!! Vanguard (a new version of the 2011 anime). The Cardfight!! Vanguard anime is now focused on the so-called D Series, which features original character designs from CLAMP and includes 2021’s Cardfight!! Vanguard overDress, 2022’s Cardfight!! Vanguard will+Dress, and the current Cardfight!! Vanguard DivineZ.
Cardfight!! Vanguard DivineZ currently has two conventionally labelled seasons and the new Cardfight!! Vanguard DivineZ Deluxe Arc, which premiered in Japan on January 11 JST and is available with English subtitles on the official Cardfight!! Vanguard YouTube channel. In January 2023, it was announced that the overall D Series would have nine seasons, with the ninth to begin in July 2025. Afterwards, it was revealed that plans for a 10th season and beyond were in the works.
The premise for Cardfight!! Vanguard DivineZ Deluxe Arc is described as:
Deluxe—the tournament to determine the strongest in Vanguard! While invitations are being sent to top-tier fighters, Akina enjoys the cultural festival, when a mysterious man named Kagetsu Yakumo appears before him. Who could he possibly be…?!
The Cardfight!! Vanguard DivineZ anime are directed by Takuto Yamada and co-produced by Kinema Citrus, Gift Animation, and STUDIO JEMI.
