KADOKAWA has released the main trailer for Loving Yamada at Lv999!‘s live-action film adaptation (available in 30- and 60-second versions) ahead of its March 28 JST Japanese premiere.
The Yusa Yasukawa (Love Is Better the Second Time Around drama adaptation) movie was announced last November. Ryoto Sakura and Mizuki Yamashita are playing Akito Yamada and Akane Kinoshita, respectively.
Mashiro‘s Loving Yamada at Lv999! manga began serialization in ComicSmart’s Ganma magazine in 2019 and previously inspired a Spring 2023 TV anime directed by Morio Asaka (Chihayafuru) at Madhouse. Mangamo describes the plot as:
Recently dumped, Akane is just about to quit the game she used to play with her boyfriend, when she meets Yamada in the same RPG. Yamada in real life turns out to be somewhat of a legend. The only problem is – he is ONLY interested in the game. As Akane’s feelings grow, will Yamada’s focus stay on the game?
The manga has 10 tankoubon volumes as of November 2024. KADOKAWA publishes these physical volumes.
