Shueisha’s MANGA Plus service will upload chapters from the upcoming new football manga Embers starting on February 3 JST. It will be a simultaneous release with the Japanese version, which will debut in the 10th issue (2025) of Weekly Shonen Jump.

Embers is written by Kei Kurumazaki and drawn by Sotaro Nishii. Nishii previously contributed backgrounds to manga like Blue Lock and Wistoria: Wand and Sword and has released a few one-shots. Blue Lock artist Yusuke Nomura and Wistoria artist Toshi Aoi have both highlighted Embers‘ upcoming start on their respective X (formerly Twitter) accounts while praising Nishii’s skills.

The series is described as a high school soccer drama where a delinquent named Haitani, who is the strongest in fighting, comes into contact with the sport.
