The HoYoFair YouTube channel released on January 31 JST the “Astra Yao Support MV,” which shows Astra Yao and Belle on a date. It caught the eye of character designer Kanna Hirayama (OSHI NO KO, Rent-A-Girlfriend), who showed her support for the Zenless Zone Zero anime music video with an illustration of Astra and Belle.
The illustration is based on the dance that occurs in the middle of the the two-minute animation. In a tweet, Hirayama said that she drew the illustration while experiencing the “wonderful” video and the singing voice of May’n, who belts out a rearranged version of the song “Wonderland Reverie” while Astra drags Belle around.
The Kazabue Animation (風笛アニメーション) production was released not too long after an official animated music video for Astra, who became a playable character in Zenless Zone Zero with its 1.5 update on January 22 UTC+8. Astra is a singer and S-Rank Ether Support Agent who is part of the Stars of Lyra faction.
Zenless Zone Zero is a free-to-play “urban fantasy” action RPG developed by Hoyoverse that was released on iOS, Android, PC, and PS5 on July 4, 2024, while HoYoFair is an event that features “a collation of fan works derived from HoYoverse IPs.” Zenless Zone Zero‘s premise is described as:
