A new PV trailer, main theme songs, and three more cast members have been unveiled for the upcoming I’m the Evil Lord of an Intergalactic Empire! TV anime series, which begins broadcasting in Japan on April 5, 2025.
The anime’s opening theme is “Uchu-teki Mystery” by four-member female idol group Saishu Mirai Shoujo, while the ending theme is “Nantonaku” by Nagi Fujisaki.
The new cast members highlighted in the English-subtitled trailer include Shinichiro Miki as Yasushi, Yoji Ueda as Brian Beaumont, and Tetsu Inada as Goaz.
They join a main voice cast that consists of

Tetsuya Yanagisawa (Berserk of Gluttony) is directing the anime, with Katsuhiko Takayama (The Weakest Tamer Began a Journey to Pick Up Trash) as series screenwriter and scriptwriter, Kazuya Morimae (Miss Kuroitsu from the Monster Development Department) as character designer, and Tetsuya Watanabe (Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke’s Mansion 3DCG director) as battleship designer. Quad is handling the animation production.
The anime is based on the sci-fi isekai light novels, written by Yomu Mishima (Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Games Is Tough for Mobs author) and illustrated by Nadare Takamine. It was first published by Overlap Bunko on July 25, 2020 after debuting as a web novel on Shosetsuka ni Naro in August 2018. Nine volumes have been released as of October 2024, with a 10th volume set for release on March 25, 2025. Seven Seas Entertainment releases both the light novel series and manga in English.
The light novels also inspired a manga adaptation by Kai Nadashima, as well another light novel and manga spinoff series in 2022 and 2023, respectively. Seven Seas also releases both versions of the spinoff in English.
