The A Certain Magical Index spin-off series To Aru Anbu no ITEM (A Certain Dark Side’s ITEM), which focuses on the titular organization, is getting its own anime.
Reprising their roles from the A Certain Scientific Railgun and A Certain Magical Index anime are Ami Koshimizu as the fourth-ranked Level 5 esper Shizuri Mugino, Aya Suzuki as Riko Takitsubo, Maya Uchida as Frenda Seivelun, and Chinatsu Akasaki as Saiai Kinuhata.
The To Aru Anbu no ITEM light novels are written by A Certain Magical Index author Kazuma Kamachi with Niritsu as illustrator. A Certain Magical Index illustrator Kiyotaka Haimura is credited as character designers. The Dengeki Bunko series, which has a manga adaptation, debuted in 2023 and will release Volume 4 on March 7, 2025 JST.
To Aru Anbu no ITEM isn’t the only new A Certain Magical Index-related anime that was announced. A fourth season of A Certain Scientific Railgun, the spin-off that stars third-ranked Level 5 esper Misaka Mikoto, was revealed on the same day and is “coming soon.”
