The classic soundtracks of the Final Fantasy video game series are receiving several dance club remixes in the new album #SQkawaii Sounds – Final Fantasy –. It is being released by Square Enix Music and is expected to arrive in stores starting on March 5, 2025.
The album features 20 club-ready Final Fantasy tracks that have been remixed by various artists in the “future kawaii bass” sound, which is described as a “maximalist and upbeat dance” music style. Fans will be treated to high-energy songs from producers like Takafumi Imamura, picco, and many others.
#SQkawaii Sounds – Final Fantasy – also features new artwork of characters from across the franchise, drawn in a kawaii style inside of an arcade. It was illustrated by Square Enix artist and character designer Yasuhisa Izumisawa.
