Amara‘s fantasy tale The Cat and the Dragon (Neko to Ryuu) is receiving a TV anime adaptation. An announcement trailer with multiple “nyaa nyaa nyaas” at the end, as well as commemorative illustrations from the novel series’ Mai Okuma and the manga adaptation’s Izumi Sasaki, were released.

As the text below the anime’s title explains, The Cat and the Dragon is “a story of some cats and a dragon, raised up by a cat.” It began as a Shousetsuka ni Narou short story in 2013, and the first novel volume was published under the Takarajimasha Bunko label in 2017. The manga also began that year.
The eighth volume of the novel series will launch in early April 2025.
