Popular apparel brand Converse has unveiled its latest collaboration with hololive VTuber Hoshimachi Suisei, which will be available at ABC-Mart stores nationwide in Japan. The collaboration, based on the Converse ALL STAR series, features limited-edition shoes with designs inspired by Suisei.
The collaboration features two limited-edition shoes: the “ALL STAR HI / Hoshimachi Suisei” and the “ALL STAR OX/ Hoshimachi Suisei.”
For Converse, the shoes are designed with live music events in mind, particularly for Suisei. Moreover, the brand states that the shoes are inspired by Suisei’s own fashion tastes, allowing fans to celebrate Suisei’s wherever they go.
“ALL STAR HI / Hoshimachi Suisei” features a collage design that includes the cover arts for every single and album release Suisei had, including her latest album Shinsei Mokuroku. The shoe also features a signature of Suisei that resembles a quick sign for a staff pass during a live music event. The shoes are available for 13,200JPY.
Meanwhile, the “ALL STAR OX/ Hoshimachi Suisei” is a much simpler-designed piece, with the numbers ‘20180322’ stamped, a reference to the talent’s debut date, as well as the phrase ‘hololive Generation 0’ indicating the generation Suisei belongs to. The shoes are available for 11,000JPY.
This is not the first time the popular brand has collaborated with Suisei. In December 2021, Converse Tokyo announced a collaboration with Suisei for limited-edition T-shirts, long-sleeves, and acrylic keychains.
Converse also collaborated with holostars talents back in 2022, featuring limited edition shirts of nine with its talents: Hanasaki Miyabi, Kanade Izuru, Arurandeisu, Rikka, Astel Leda, Kishido Temma, Yukoku Roberu, Kageyama Shien, and Aragami Oga.
