The previously announced Twins HinaHima TV anime, which uses so-called “Supportive AI” in its workflow, will begin its Japanese broadcast on March 29 (effectively March 30 at 3:38 AM JST). A main trailer was also released.

• AI/3D technical director: Ultra-Noob
• AI pipeline developer: 852wa
• AI pipeline developer: Asaki
• Main animator: Yosuke Kudo
• 3D animation director: Takashi Kawamura
• Animation production: KaKa Technology Studio
Twins HinaHima started as an “anime Tiktoker” project from KaKa Creation in November 2023. The anime was revealed in December 2024. The latter’s premise involves two twins who aspire to go viral finding themselves in an abnormal world.
The anime’s website says that AI’s usefulness can be broadly divided into the reduction of workload and the ability to realize things that are difficult to pull off with hand-drawn or CG animation. It also says that all of the show’s cuts make use of AI assistance, although human touch-ups are made at the end to ensure quality.
