Additionally, there is a main visual and the announcement of Takeharu Onishi, Shuhei Sakaguchi, Kana Ichinose, and Inoue Tsuyoshi as additional cast members.
Shin Samurai-den Yaiba is a new anime adaptation of Gosho Aoyama‘s Yaiba manga, which was serialized from 1988 to 1993 in Shonen Sunday and was the winning title of the 38th Shogakukan Manga Award Children’s category. The titular character is a young samurai-in-training.
The manga, which has been picked up by Viz Media, previously inspired a Pastel-produced anime series that ran from 1993 to 1994. The new anime will have Aoyama’s full supervision.
