Three more new cast members are joining the upcoming The Catcher in the Ballpark! TV anime series, which has been revealed to begin broadcasting in Japan on April 1, 2025. It will be broadcast on TV Tokyo and five affiliated channels, as well as on AT-X and BS NTV. It will also stream on the Japanese services ABEMA, Lemino, and Anime Times, before streaming on other services.
The three new cast members joining the series include Akari Yura as Miku (far right), Mami Fujita as Miku’s mom (center), and Kentaro Kumagai as Miku’s dad (left).

They join an anime voice cast that so far includes:

Junichi Kitamura (Fluffy Paradise) is directing the anime series, with Shigeru Murakoshi (I Parry Everything) as series screenwriter, Fumio Ida (Yadamon, Basquash! co-character designer) as character designer, and MONACA (Protocol: Rain) as music composer. EMT Squared is handling the animation production.

The original sports comedy manga series by Tatsuro Suga was first launched on September 3, 2020 in Kodansha’s Morning magazine and has released 15 volumes as of November 2024.
The Catcher in the Ballpark! follows ordinary office worker Murata, who attends a baseball game and meets Ruriko — a cute gyaru beer vendor. Despite being her first regular customer, Ruriko acts quite cold towards Murata, but her innocent personality pops up whenever he’s out of sight.
