SPY x FAMILY: Code White has been voted as the Anime Movie of the Year at the 11th Anime Trending Awards. The film received 17,176 total votes, beating out its competitor, Hayao Miyazaki’s The Boy and the Heron, which placed second with 16,187 votes.

SPY X FAMILY: Code White debuted in Japan on December 22, 2023, where it received a box office total of 6.2 billion yen (US$40.2 million) in Japan and US$59.6 million worldwide. The film’s original story is written by Ichiro Okochi (Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch of Mercury series screenwriter) and supervised by series creator Tatsuya Endo. WIT Studio and Cloverworks were in charge of the animation production.
Takashi Katagiri (SPY X FAMILY Season 1’s co-assistant director) directed the film, with Kazuhiro Furuhashi (SPY X FAMILY director) as animation supervisor, Kazuaki Shimada (SPY X FAMILY series) as character designer, Kana Ishida (The Irregular at Magic High School: Reminiscence Arc character designer) as sub-character designer, Kyouji Asano (Season 1) as chief animation director, Satomi Sugimoto (Season 1) and Mayumi Kojima (Season 1 background art staff) as art directors, Hanami Tanaka (Season 1 second cour co-color designer) as color designer, Akane Fushihara (Season 1) as compositing director, and (K)NoW_NAME (Season 1) as music producer.

The first season of the TV anime series premiered in April 2022 and ran for two split cours. The second season premiered in October 2023. A third season will debut sometime in October 2025.
The original manga series began serialization on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ on March 25, 2019 and has released 15 tankobon volumes as of March 2025. Viz Media releases the manga in English.
