13 Detective Conan Anime Films Are Coming to Netflix in Select Asian Regions in April 2025 featured image

Netflix has announced that it is adding 13 Detective Conan anime films starting this coming April for select regions in Asia. The films will be split into two release periods throughout the month.

The first six films coming to the service on April 4, 2025 include: 

  • • Detective Conan: The Time-Bombed Skyscraper (1997)
  • • Detective Conan: The Last Wizard of the Century (1999)
  • • Detective Conan: Crossroad in the Ancient Capital (2003)
  • • Detective Conan: Sunflowers of Inferno (2015)
  • • Detective Conan: The Crimson Love Letter (2017)
  • • Detective Conan: The Bride of Halloween (2022)

The next seven films that will be added on April 18, 2025 include: 

  • • Detective Conan: The Fourteenth Target (1998)
  • • Detective Conan: Captured in Her Eyes (2000)
  • • Detective Conan: The Magician of the Silver Sky (2004)
  • • Detective Conan: The Private Eyes’ Requiem (2006)
  • • Detective Conan: Private Eye in the Distant Sea (2013)
  • • Detective Conan: Dimensional Sniper (2014)
  • • Detective Conan: The Scarlet Bullet (2021)

The long-running Detective Conan franchise has inspired 27 total anime films, with the upcoming 28th film, Detective Conan: One-eyed Flashback, set to premiere in Japanese theaters on April 18, 2025. It will also be screened in several Japanese IMAX and 4DX theaters. 

Gosho Aoyama‘s Detective Conan manga was first serialized in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday on January 5, 1994 and has released 106 tankobon volumes as of October 2024. A 107th volume is set for release on April 18, 2025. VIZ Media releases the manga in English under the title Case Closed

The manga has inspired a long-running TV anime that first aired in 1996, with the first anime film being released in 1997. 

Crunchyroll is streaming parts of the Detective Conan anime series outside of Japan, describing the main premise as:

The son of a world famous mystery writer, Shinichi Kudo, has achieved his own notoriety by assisting the local police as a student detective. He has always been able to solve the most difficult of criminal cases using his wits and power of reason.
