Four new cast members have been revealed for the ongoing Sakamoto Days TV anime series. They will appear in the anime’s 11th episode, which is the final episode for the anime’s first cour. The anime’s first cour premiered in Japan on January 11, 2025, while the second cour is set to premiere in July 2025.
The new cast members joining the series include:

- • Chiaki Kobayashi as Apart
- • Ryota Takeuchi as Minimalist
- • Kosuke Toriumi as Saw




They join a main voice cast that stars:
- • Tomokazu Sugita as Taro Sakamoto
- • Nobunaga Shimazaki as Shin Asakura
- • Ayane Sakura as Lu Shaotang
- • Nao Toyama as Aoi Sakamoto
- • Ryota Suzuki as Heisuke Mashimo
- • Hina Kino as Hana Sakamoto
- • Miyari Nemoto as Pisuke
Masaki Watanabe (Bakumatsu, Battle Spirits: Mirage) is directing the anime, with Taku Kishimoto (Blue Lock) as series screenwriter, Yo Moriyama (Megalo Box director and co-sub character designer et al.) as character designer, and Yuki Hayashi (Haikyu!!, My Hero Academia) as music composer. TMS Entertainment is handling the animation production.
Netflix is streaming the anime series worldwide on a weekly release schedule.
The anime is based on the manga by Yuto Suzuki, which began in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump on November 21, 2020 and has released 21 tankobon volumes as of March 2025.

VIZ Media releases the Sakamoto Days manga series in English, which describes the main synopsis as:
Taro Sakamoto was once a legendary hit man considered the greatest of all time. Bad guys feared him! Assassins revered him! But then one day he quit, got married, and had a baby.
