A recap movie of last year’s Sound! Euphonium Season 3 has been announced with the title of Sound! Euphonium, The Final Movie. It will premiere in Japan in 2026.

A teaser visual that sees protagonist Kumiko Oumae leaping across the sky, cradling her euphonium while her exuberant face is lit by sunlight, was revealed with the announcement. There’s also a video that looks back on the journey so far.

Sound! Euphonium is based on the Takarajimasha-published novel series by Ayano Takeda, which debuted in 2013. The series focuses on the concert band of Kitauji High School and its various trials and tribulations. Crunchyroll describes the third season’s premise as:

The concert band at Kitauji High School has over 90 members. Oumae Kumiko is now the president and does her best with her final high school club activities to try to win her long-desired gold at nationals.

The Sound! Euphonium first season premiered in 2015. Aside from the TV anime seasons, there have been film compilations of the first two seasons, the Liz and the Blue Bird spin-off movie, the Sound! Euphonium: Chikai no Finale film, and a theatrical OVA titled Sound! Euphonium: Ensemble Contest.
