Anime Expo has announced that it will be hosting a new Japanese music festival at this year’s convention called “J-POP SOUND CAPSULE @AX2025 Anisong World Matsuri Returns” on July 3, 2025.
The J-POP SOUND CAPSULE music festival will take place in the Peacock Theater and will begin at 7:00 PM PST.
Three ticket tiers will be sold for the festival (before tax): VIP tickets will cost US$175.00, Orchestra A tickets will cost US$145.00, and Orchestra B tickets will cost US$130.00. An Anime Expo 2025 ticket is required for entry and must be purchased separately. Artists participating in the meet and greet session will be announced later.
This festival will feature the following six Japanese musical acts:
- • ASTERISM (Opening Act)
- • FLOW
- • Granrodeo
- • TOGENASHI TOGEARI (Girls Band Cry)
- • Sakurazaka46
- • Hiroshi Kitadani
The performance lineup also includes a “diverse selection of songs and iconic anime songs” and “tracks from the latest hit anime series.”
