Aniplex recently announced that the Wind Breaker season 2 opening theme song will be performed by SixTONES. The anime will begin broadcasting on April 3 JST (effectively April 4 at 12:26 AM JST) with an advanced early screening on March 29 JST at United Cinema Aqua.
The first season of Wind Breaker premiered on April 4, 2024. The delinquent action anime is based on the Kodansha-published manga by Satoru Nii, which started serialization on Magazine Pocket in 2021 and has 20 tankoubon volumes as of January 2025.
Kodansha USA describes the Wind Breaker manga as:
Haruka Sakura wants nothing to do with weaklings—he’s only interested in the strongest of the strong. He’s from Fuurin High School, a school of near-dropout degenerates known only for their brawling strength. And in a town known for its territorial disputes, Haruka’s got only one goal—become the hero his town deserves.
Crunchyroll has confirmed that it will stream the second season in over 200 countries and territories worldwide.
