A second new key visual and main voice cast have been unveiled for the upcoming Virgin Punk: Clockwork Girl, which is the first installment of Yasuomi Umetsu‘s new action series Virgin Punk. The anime will begin screening in Japanese theaters on June 27, 2025.
The main voice cast Virgin Punk: Clockwork Girl (from left to right) includes:

- • Taku Yashiro as Luis Gaudi
- • Rui Tanabe as Maggy
- • Norio Wakamoto as Tommy J
- • Fuka Izumi as Ayano Andriiette
- • Sumire Uesaka as Vespa
In addition to Umetsu directing the anime, the other main staff include Yuya Takahashi (Kubo Won’t Let Me Be Invisible) as series screenwriter and scriptwriter, Yuji Honjo (Eureka — Eureka Seven Hi-Evolution co-background art director) as background art director, Yasuko Watanabe (Monogatari Series: Off & Monster Season) as color designer, Takayuki Aizu (Bakemonogatari) and Reina Egami (The Quintessential Quintuplets) as composting directors, and Yoshiaki Dewa (Hell’s Paradise) as music composer. Shaft is in charge of the animation production.
Other main animators involved in the project include Genichiro Abe (Kizumonogatari Part 1: Tekketsu co-main animator), Shinya Takahashi, and Maho Kando.
Virgin Punk marks Umetsu’s first project-wide directorial role since 2014’s Wizard Barristers and is his first Shaft-produced series. In the last few years, Umetsu could be found in the credits of Shaft productions like Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story (key animation), Pretty Boy Detective Club (opening storyboard artist and director et al.), Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story Final Season (key animation), and The Quintessential Quintuplets~ (key animation).
Clockwork Girl follows a bounty hunter protagonist called Ubu. The story will involve her struggles, as well as the “desires” and “chaos” interweaved by the characters around her.
