The first new teaser trailer has been released for the first season of Disney Twisted-Wonderland The Animation during a stage event at AnimeJapan 2025, previewing the series’ main opening theme and latest cast member addition. The upcoming anime will have three seasons and will premiere on Disney+ in October 2025.
Yohei Azakami is joining the series as main protagonist Yuken Enma, who was the lead character in the manga adaptation of the main game. The first season will follow the young kendo swordsman, who is suddenly transported to the alternate world Twisted-Wonderland via a black carriage. He soon finds himself at the prestigious magic training academy, Night Raven College.
Azakami joins a main voice cast (returning from the original mobile game) that includes:

- • Chiaki Kobayashi as Deuce Spade
- • Ryota Suzuki as Trey Clover
- • Tatsuyuki Kobayashi as Cater Diamond

The teaser trailer for Disney Twisted-Wonderland The Animation features its main opening theme “Piece of my world” sung by the Night Ravens. Takumi Ozawa (Aria the Scarlet Ammo), the composer of the original Disney Twisted-Wonderland game, worked on new tracks for the trailer, and is also serving as music composer for the series itself.
The trailer also confirms the addition of new staff members, some of which include Aki Tsunaki (Angelique: Twin Collection) as sub-character designer, Nagisa Abe (86: EIGHTY-SIX) as color key artist, Hiroki Matsumoto (A Couple of Cuckoos) as art director, Takao Saito (Fractale) as compositing director of photography, and Miho Sugawara (Power of Hope: Precure Full Bloom) as sound director.
Takahiro Natori (Aria the Crepuscolo and Tokyo Mew Mew New director) is serving as the anime’s chief director and series screenwriter, Shin Katagai (The Ossan Newbie Adventurer, Trained to Death by the Most Powerful Party, Became Invincible) as director, Yoichi Kato (The Idolmaster Shiny Colors) as main writer, Haruka Nakano (Pop Pop City) and Akane Sato (Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero in-between checker) as character designers. Yumeta Company and Graphinica are in charge of the animation production.
Disney Twisted-Wonderland The Animation season one will be titled “Episode of Heartslabyul,” while season two is called “Episode of Savanaclaw” and season three is “Episode of Octavinelle.”
The anime adaptation was first announced in 2021. The mobile game developed by f4samurai was first released in 2020 in Japan and includes “rhythm games and RPG-style battles.” It received a North American release in 2022. Google Play describes the game, which has Black Butler‘s Yana Toboso credited for the original story and character designs.
