TOHO has released a new main trailer for the upcoming Jujutsu Kaisen Movie: Hidden Inventory/Premature Death compilation film, which features an acoustic version of Tatsuya Kitani’s “Ao no Sumika” theme song that was used in the second season. The compilation film will begin screening in Japan on May 30, 2025.
The “Hidden Inventory/Premature Death Arc” was the first arc of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2, which had Shota Goshozono (Jujutsu Kaisen Episode 17, Ranking of Kings Episode 21, and Chainsaw Man Episode 8 storyboard artist and episode director) take over as director from Sunghoo Park, on July 6, 2023. After the arc ended, the anime series took a few weeks off before resuming with the “Shibuya Incident Arc.” MAPPA handled the animation production.
An anime adaptation of the manga’s “Culling Game Arc” was announced shortly after Season 2 ended. Crunchyroll is currently streaming the anime series and the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 prequel spinoff anime film worldwide, outside of Japan.
The anime adaptation is based on the supernatural action manga by Gege Akutami, which began serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump on March 5, 2018 and ended with 30 total volumes.

Viz Media released the Jujutsu Kaisen manga in English and describes the synopsis as:
Although Yuji Itadori looks like your average teenager, his immense physical strength is something to behold! Every sports club wants him to join, but Itadori would rather hang out with the school outcasts in the Occult Research Club. One day, the club manages to get their hands on a sealed cursed object. Little do they know the terror they’ll unleash when they break the seal…
