Kadokawa has announced the addition of two new cast members for the upcoming The Gorilla God’s Go-To Girl TV anime series. The series is scheduled to premiere in Japan on April 6, 2025.
The two new cast include Nozomi Yamamoto as Carissa, a haughty noble classmate of the main heroine, and Kyoka Moriya as Alene, a quiet, yet kind classmate.

In addition, the anime series is also hosting a collaboration with popular Japanese curry chain Go Go Curry, whose logo features a gorilla face. A special curry dish created by one of the series’ main cast members will also be served at five of the chain’s Tokyo branches from April 1, 2025 to April 30, 2025.

Fumitoshi Oizaki (Chillin’ in My 30s After Getting Fired from the Demon King’s Army, Deaimon) is directing the anime series, with Hitomi Amamiya (Chillin’ in My 30s After Getting Fired from the Demon King’s Army) as series screenwriter and Sakae Shibuya (Chillin’ in My 30s After Getting Fired from the Demon King’s Army co-chief animation director) as character designer. Kachigarasu and Diomedéa are in charge of the animation production.
Meanwhile, the anime’s main voice cast includes:
- • Kanna Nakamura as Sophia Leela
- • Takeo Otsuka as Lui Scarrel
- • Reiji Kawashima as Isaac Xian
- • Takuma Nagatsuka as Edy Pheles
The series first started as a Shosetsuka ni Naro web novel by Shirohi on August 10, 2020 under the Japanese title Gorilla no Kami kara Kagosareta Reijou wa Ouritsu Kishidan de Kawaigarareru. It ended on August 23, 2021.
The web novel then inspired a manga adaptation by Kadokawa in the same month, which is illustrated by Mika Kamisu. The manga began on KadoComi and has released six tankobon volumes as of December 2024.

Crunchyroll licensed the The Gorilla God’s Go-To Girl anime series for streaming worldwide, outside of Japan. It describes the main synopsis as:
Sophia, a timid daughter of a count, just wanted a peaceful life, but the Gorilla God had other plans. Blessed with unmatched strength, she’s thrust into the Royal Knight Order, turning her quiet days into chaos. Now, she must juggle school, the knight life, and her overwhelming power.
