Shura no Hakoniwa, a new supernatural “girl-meets-girl” action manga written by Tokyo Revengers and Gundam Build Divers Re:Rise series composer Yasuyuki Mutou and drawn by Suzue, has launched on KADOKAWA and Piccoma’s Manga Bar online magazine.
The manga’s setting features warriors who purge monsters called Utsuro that feast on “nectar” that is found in girls under 19 years of age. As per Comic Natalie, one of the main heroines is Natsumi, a member of an anti-Utsuro organization who fears being eaten by them. The other main character is Asuka, a girl who appears before Natsumi and proclaims that she will wipe out all of the Utsuro. Asuka displays great power in the fight against the Utsuro, but she also holds a secret.
Recently, it was announced that the next Tokyo Revengers anime entry will cover the “Santen Sensou” (Three Deities War) arc. Mutou was revealed to be reprising their role as series composer as part of the announcement.
