A fifth new date visual has been unveiled for the upcoming The Shiunji Family Children TV anime series, showcasing the youngest sibling, Kotono Shiunji, enjoying a delicious crepe at a café. The anime will broadcast in Japan on April 8, 2025 for 12 total episodes.

Five total date visuals will be released within the next five days, leading up to the show’s official premiere date.
Ryoki Kamitsubo (Hidamari Sketch chief director, Softenni director, Saint Cecilia and Pastor Lawrence Episode 3 and 7 storyboard artist and director) is directing the anime series, with Noboru Kimura (Code Geass: Rozé of the Recapture) as series screenwriter and Miki Muto (OSHI NO KO Season 2 co-animation training director) as character designer and chief animation director. Doga Kobo is in charge of the animation production.
Meanwhile, the anime’s main voice cast includes:

The anime is based on the romantic comedy manga series by Rent-A-Girlfriend‘s Reiji Miyajima, with Reiji Yukino as co-artist. The manga began serialization in Hakusensha’s Young Animal on February 25, 2022 and has released six tankobon volumes as of March 2025. Yen Press releases the manga in English for North America.

Crunchyroll will stream The Shiunji Family Children anime worldwide, outside of Japan. It describes the main synopsis as:
The Shiunji family with their seven children reside in a mansion within Tokyo’s Setagaya ward.
