Voice actor Fairouz Ai has announced the resumption of her activities, following a partial restriction last December due to PTSD (Post-traumatic stress disorder) recovery.
In a statement posted to her X (formerly Twitter) account, Fairouz Ai, the voice behind characters like JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean‘s Jolyne Cujoh, Chainsaw Man‘s Power, and OKITSURA: Fell in Love with an Okinawan Girl‘s Kana Higa, said that the decision was made following her doctor’s diagnosis. She returned to work on the date of the announcement, April 1 JST.
Fairouz Ai also revealed that she had transferred from Raccoon Dog, which she had been with for three years, to Mausu Promotion. The latter represents voice actors like Ai Kakuma, Akio Otsuka, and Sawako Hata.
In addition to Fairouz Ai, Mausu Promotion also added Tadashi Muto, Kazuki Atsumi, Shunto Abe, Ryuto Suzumura, Moe Ehara, Sakira Kawakami, Amika Tosa, and Kayo Yanase to its ranks on April 1 JST.
Fairouz Ai’s PTSD manifested several months before the announcement of her partial break. She said that she had continued working throughout that period due to a desire to meet the expectations and support she received.
