The Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid: A Lonely Dragon Wants to be Loved anime movie has received a main trailer, which includes a preview of the newly announced ending song “Bokutachi no Hibi” by Sachiko Kobayashi.
Additionally, it was revealed that the film will receive two music releases. One (Eiga “Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon Samishigariya no Ryuu” OP/ED Shudaika) contains the theme songs. The other (Eiga “Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon Samishigariya no Ryuu” Zenkyokushuu) includes the music, insert songs, and theme songs in one package. These will go on sale on June 27 JST, the date of the film’s release.
Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid: A Lonely Dragon Wants to be Loved is a continuation of the Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid TV anime. Its plot involves the appearance of the young dragon Kanna’s father.
The first season of the TV series debuted in 2017 and received a sequel with the title of Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid S following in 2021. There is also a short form ONA titled MiniDora (Mini Dragon). The anime are inspired by the Futabasha-published manga series by Coolkyousinnjya, which is currently serialized in MANGA Action and has 16 tankoubon volumes as of February 2025.

Miss Kobayashi is your average office worker who lives a boring life, alone in her small apartment–until she saves the life of a female dragon in distress. The dragon, named Tohru, has the ability to magically transform into an adorable human girl (albeit with horns and a long tail!), who will do anything to pay off her debt of gratitude, whether Miss Kobayashi likes it or not. With a very persistent and amorous dragon as a roommate, nothing comes easy, and Miss Kobayashi’s normal life is about to go off the deep end!
