The opening and ending animations for Wind Breaker Season 2 have been released on Aniplex’s YouTube channel.
The opening sequence was storyboarded and unit directed by Ken Yamamoto (Tying the Knot with an Amagami Sister ED 1 and OP 2, Umamusume: Beginning of a New Era director), while the ending had series director Toshifumi Akai in those roles.
Wind Breaker Season 2 had its premiere on April 3 JST (effectively April 4 at 12:26 AM JST). Crunchyroll describes the plot as:
Sakura’s idea of what it means to be at the top has begun to change. After making new friends and encountering new enemies in his time at Furin High School, he has gained some perspective. Now, he stands tall as a Grade Captain, fighting to protect others. Watch as Sakura’s rise continues from high school delinquent to heroic legend!
The delinquent action anime is based on the Kodansha-published manga by Satoru Nii, which started serialization on Magazine Pocket since 2021 and has 20 tankoubon volumes as of January 2025. The first season premiered on April 4, 2024.
Kodansha USA describes the Wind Breaker manga as:
