A new key visual and teaser trailer have been revealed for the upcoming two-part theatrical compilation film for Girls Band Cry, which also confirmed the returning voice cast and staff.

The first part, Seishun Kyosоkyoku, will begin screening in Japanese theaters on October 3, 2025, while the second part, Naa, Mirai., will screen on November 14, 2025.
Kazuo Sakai (Love Live! Sunshine!!) is returning to direct the compilation films, with Jukki Hanada (The Dangers in My Heart, Love Live! Superstar!!) as screenwriter and scriptwriter, Nari Teshima (VTuber Hoshimachi Suisei‘s character designer), and Jaehoon Jung as co-CG director. Jung is now joined by Daiki Nakazawa (Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods CG director) in the CG direction role. Toei Animation is once again in charge of the animation production.
Meanwhile, the returning voice cast members from the TV anime include:
- • Rina as Nina Iseri
- • Yuri as Momoka Kawaragi
- • Mirei as Subaru Awa
- • Natsu as Tomo Ebizuka
- • Syuri as Rupa
Cast members Mirei and Natsu announced in July 2024 that they were going on temporary hiatus due to poor health. The remaining three main cast members — Rina, Yuri, and Syuri — have continued to perform. On April 10, 2025, Mirei and Natsu returned to dialogue recording work, but the staff did not specify when they would resume performing in live concerts.
CATCHPLAY+ streamed the anime in Indonesia with both Indonesian and English subtitles. The anime was also released digitally on Fandango at Home, Microsoft Store, Amazon Prime Video, and Hoopla.
The franchise has inspired several singles and albums, as well as a mobile game that is currently in development.

Crunchyroll licensed Girls Band Cry last October and is currently streaming the series in select English-speaking countries and territories. It describes the main synopsis as:
Feeling out of place in the countryside, high school dropout Nina Iseri moves to Tokyo. After a rough first day and getting locked out of her apartment, she meets her favorite guitarist, Momoka Kawaragi. The two put on a street performance together and decide to start a band with three other girls. While each girl faces her own struggles, their passion for music keeps their dreams alive.
