SNK has released an anime music video for its upcoming Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves fighting game. The video was storyboarded and directed by Masami Obari (GUNDAM BREAKER BATTLOGUE and Brave Bang Bravern director), who also handled some of the key animation.

The music video opens with a battle between Terry Bogard and Geese Howard, before transitioning into a highlight reel of various characters. The featured music is “Terry Andy Joe,” a remix of Fatal Fury tunes from DJ Salvatore Ganacci (who’s one of the new game’s collaboration characters, alongside Cristiano Ronaldo).

STUDIO G-INEO (which Obari is a part of) handled the animation production of the Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves music video. Some of the staff include Yusuke Takeda (Chainsaw Man) as background art director, Nanako Okazaki (Fate/strange Fake: Whispers of Dawn) as color designer, and Kenta Hayashi (Brave Bang Bravern compositing director) as VFX director.

Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, which is the first Fatal Fury (or Garou Densetsu in Japanese) game since 1999’s Garou: Mark of the Wolves, is set to launch on April 24, 2025 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Steam, and Epic Games Store. In an interview with Epic Games Store’s blog, it was revealed that the story centers around Rock Howard, and that “Kain and others begin moving behind the scenes to seize control of South Town” following the demise of Geese.

The series inspired the TV anime specials Fatal Fury: Legend of the Hungry Wolf and Fatal Fury 2: The New Battle, as well as the Obari-directed Fatal Fury: The Motion Picture. Obari was the character designer and chief animation director for all three 90s titles.
