The dark fantasy manga Berserk is collaborating with Blizzard’s action RPG Diablo for a new crossover event.

A short animated teaser was revealed on Diablo‘s official X/Twitter account with the caption, “You have been Branded.” The largely monochrome teaser features what looks like a Barbarian, a character class in the game, annihilating a group of monsters with a greatsword under a full eclipse.

The event will be part of Diablo 4 Season 8, which begins on April 29, 2025. No other information has been released at the time of this writing.

Berserk is the first Japanese manga series to have a crossover event with Diablo 4, which was first released for consoles in June 2023 and later on PC in October 2023. The Diablo team previously teased two IP collaborations as a part of Diablo 4’s 2025 roadmap, stating that they were “extremely excited to meld the Diablo universe with universes that complement its dark themes.” The second IP collaboration has yet to be announced.

Berserk was originally written and illustrated by the late Kentaro Miura. It began serialization in August 1989, with the 41st volume being the last volume written by Miura. After Miura’s passing in May 2021, his childhood friend and fellow manga artist, Kouji Mori, along with Miura’s apprentices and assistant, continued his legacy under the name Studio Gaga. The series resumed serialization in June 2022 with volume 42, which was released in March 2025. Volume 43 is set to release on August 29, 2025.

The manga series inspired a 1997 TV anime series, a 2016 TV anime series, and The Golden Age Arc film trilogy. In June 2022, The Golden Age Arc received a remastered Memorial Edition version. Crunchyroll is streaming Berserk The Golden Age Arc Memorial Edition.

Diablo isn’t the only video game to have a Berserk collaboration. The MMORPG, Black Desert, by Korean video game developer Pearl Abyss, also held a Berserk collaboration in September 2024. In Black Desert, players were able to encounter Skull Knight and Nosferatu Zodd during the event story quest, fight a world boss Nosferatu Zodd, and obtain various items such as Guts Berserk Armor, Griffith Outfit, and more for a limited time. Berserk has also collaborated with other video games such as Shin Megami Tensei, Overlord: Mass for the Dead, Lineage, and Crusaders Quest.
