A new trailer, key visual, and main staff have been unveiled for the upcoming Azur Lane: Slow Ahead! 2. The second season of Azur Lane: Slow Ahead! was first announced in September 2023, but a premiere date has yet to be announced.

Shunji Maki is serving as director for the second season, with Yu Sato (Kotaro Lives Alone) returning as screenwriter and scriptwriter, who is now joined by Hotaru Asafuji. Other season two staff include Nana Mori (first season animation director) as character designer and chief animation director, Masanori Tsuchiya (By The Grace of the Gods) as sound director, and Fuga Hatori (My Wife is the Student Council President) as music composer. CANDY BOX is in charge of the animation production. Yostar Pictures was previously credited as co-animation production company for the first season.
Meanwhile, the anime’s main voice cast includes:

The first season aired from January 12, 2021 to March 30, 2021. An OVA special, and 13th overall episode, was released on July 7, 2021. Crunchyroll streamed the short anime series worldwide, outside of Japan.
Azur Lane: Slow Ahead! is based on Hori’s 4-koma spinoff manga Azur Lane Bisoku Zenshin!, which was launched in Ichijinsha’s Manga 4-koma Palette magazine on March 2, 2018. Four tankobon volumes have been released as of June 2019.
The Azur Lane franchise began with a side-scrolling shooter mobile game that was first released in 2017. It inspired a 2019 television anime series from Bibury Animation Studios and the Queen’s Orders OVA that was released on July 27, 2023.

Crunchyroll streamed the first season of Azur Lane: Slow Ahead! as it aired in Japan and describes the main synopsis as:
This is a slightly peculiar world where the shipgirls live in. A lively and enjoyable school life for girls from different factions will begin at the naval port of Azur Lane. Living out their lives to the fullest, these girls get into various shenanigans — slowly but surely!
