The upcoming second season of Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon has received a teaser trailer and teaser visual. A July 2025 release window was also revealed.

The new season is directed by Takashi Yamamoto (POKÉTOON “Romantic Spice Capsaiji Densetsu). Other main staff include Tatsuya Takahashi (returning) as series composer and Naoki Yamauchi (Season 1 sub-character designer) and Takahiro Sakai (returning) as character designers. Studio Gokumi and AXsiZ are still the animation production companies.

Returning cast members include Jun Fukuyama as Boxxo and Kaede Hondo as Lammis.

Reborn as a Vending Machine is based on the KADOKAWA-published light novels written by Hirukuma. Yen Press describes the books’ premise as:

After dying in a traffic accident, I find myself standing near an unfamiliar lake. My body won’t move, I can’t hear my voice, and when I try to shout in confusion, words that I never expected come out!

“Get one free with a winner.”

I-it seems I’ve turned into a vending machine…! I can only do what actual vending machines can. It’s impossible to move by myself, and there’s no way for me to have any meaningful conversation-how am I going to survive some fantasy world’s dungeon like this?!

Reborn as a Vending Machine began as a web novel on Shousetsuka ni Narou in 2016, with the light novel series starting later the same year. Three light novel volumes, illustrated by Itsuwa Katou, were released between 2016 and 2017.

A new edition with illustrations by Hagure Yuuki, who is also the character designer of the manga adaptation, began publication in 2021. Both the old and new publications fall under the KADOKAWA Sneaker Bunko label.
