A second new special visual, opening theme song, and new cast addition have been revealed for the upcoming Secrets of the Silent Witch TV anime series. The series will premiere in Japan on July 4, 2025 and will be streaming on Crunchyroll worldwide.
The new visual showcases the lead character, Monica Everett, with her friends at school.
Additionally, voice actress Ai Kayano is joining the series as Claudia.

Voice actor Shunichi Toki also joined the cast as an unnamed “mysterious man.”
In addition, a 3-minute sneak peek video of the anime was posted on the Japanese Aniplex YouTube channel.
Meanwhile, the anime’s opening theme is “Feel,” performed by Japanese alt rock band hitsujibungaku. The song will be available for streaming in Japan on July 4, 2025.

Takaomi Kanasaki (KonoSuba director until The Legend of Crimson) is the anime’s chief director, screenwriter, and scriptwriter, with Yasuo Iwamoto (Princess Connect Re:Dive Season 2) as director and Cona Nitanda (Pokémon Anime “Lucky na Safari de Onigokko!?”) as character designer. Studio Gokumi is handling the animation production.
Other staff include Yoshinori Iwanaga (Banished from the Hero’s Party seasons 1-2) as monster and prop designer, Eri Yamanashi (Tying the Knot With an Amagami Sister) and Yukiko Maruyama (My Hero Academia seasons 1-7) as art directors, Kana Imagaki (Spy x Family seasons 1-2) as 3D CG director, and Naoki Eto (My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! Season 2, film, and OVA) as director of photography. Cygames and Rina Tayama (Vampire Dormitory) are the music composers for the series.
The anime is based on the fantasy light novels written by Matsuri Isora and illustrated by Nanna Fujimi. It was first published by Kadokawa’s former Fujimi Shobo imprint on June 10, 2021 and has released nine main volumes (including a short story volume) as of February 2025. A 10th volume is expected to be released in Japan on July 10, 2025. The story was first published as a Shosetsuka ni Naro web novel from February 20, 2020 to October 3, 2020.
A manga adaptation of the main light novel series by Tobi Tana was launched in July 2021. A prequel light novel series and manga were also released. Yen Press releases both the light novels and manga in English.
Crunchyroll describes the main synopsis of Secrets of the Silent Witch as:
Monica Everett, the Silent Witch, is the world’s only practitioner of Voiceless Magic, a veritable heroine who single-handedly fended off the Black Dragon of legend. However, the young prodigy is actually… super-duper shy! Yup, turns out she only learned Voiceless Magic to avoid speaking in public. Ignorant of this, the Seven Sages have placed her on a top-secret mission to guard the Second Prince. Can Monica keep it together as she contends with both social interaction and the evils targeting the young royal?
