The teenage years can be a trying time. In the case of Yano-kun’s Ordinary Days‘ titular protagonist, his school days are filled with literal pain caused by his remarkable clumsiness, as seen in the TV anime’s newly released first trailer.
From injuring his fingers while pushing tables together to accidentally stabbing himself with a pencil, it’s no wonder that class representative Yoshida — the main love interest of the story — is so concerned for Yano.
While the Yano-kun’s Ordinary Days trailer has scenes of Yano in pretty beat-up shape, the main key visual eases up on the physical damage (he still has an eyepatch and bandaid, though) and focuses on relaxed vibes as Yano, Yoshida and other characters are depicted walking together with fairly characterful poses. Those “other characters” don’t just appear in the visual and trailer, but have also had their respective voice actors announced. Here’s the list:
• Atsumi Tanezaki as Mei
• Taito Ban as Hashiba
• Rie Takahashi as Izumi
• Ryota Iwasaki as Tanaka
In addition, it was announced that FANTASTICS‘ “POP LIFE” is the opening theme song for the anime.
Yano-kun’s Ordinary Days is an adaptation of the romantic comedy manga by Yui Tamura, which has been in serialization since 2021 on Kodansha’s Comic Days and has 10 volumes as of March 2025. A live-action film premiered in Japan on November 15, 2024 JST. The anime will premiere this October.
